Misako was discovered in front of the Kyoto train station while she was enrolled at Isetan University. She was chosen as "Miss Young Magazine" for Miss Magazine 2002, and the following year she was awarded the Weekly Playboy Sixth Trading Card Newcomer Grand Prix Award.
