Matsubara Shizuka is a Japanese gravure idol, actress, model, and singer. She was also a member of Seikore in 2004. In 2006 she won the Grand Prix award for the Miss Air Guitar Contest. Back in 2004, celebrity actress/idol Matsubara Shizuka was voted by readers of weekly tabloid Shukan Shincho as the woman Japanese women most love to hate. I’m not so sure why this “average” celebrity was so despised, perhaps it was her voice, or the roles she played on TV dramas or the fact she was the very high profile girlfriend of President of LiveDoor, Takafumie Horie, who said Matsubara Shizuka loved his money more than him.
