Information
Yumi has been in the spotlight from a young age. When she was just three, Yumi began doing commercials and at age eight began to have minor roles in various dramas. In 1993, when Yumi was 12, she began her music career and released until 1998. When she was 13, she was in the television drama Ie nakiko. From then on, Yumi became a full-fledged child star.
The year 1999 marked Yumi's entrance into the gravure world, and she released a handful of photobooks and DVDs. AV companies even tried to persuade Yumi to become an AV star, but she always turned them down. Seeing as she has not released anything in this genre of entertainment since 2004 (and due to her pregnancy; see below), it can be assumed she is no longer in this business.
